Egg-Bot

I recently decided to sell my Egg-Bot.  I purchased it about 2 or 3 years ago from Evil Mad Scientist and couldn’t wait to use it.  I had this brilliant idea that I was going to use it to make and sell customized Beer Pong balls.  Great idea at the time.  It was fairly easy to put together so I had it up and running fairly quickly.  The software required is Inscape which is an open source vector editor.  Also very easy to use and free.  It took a little fiddling around to get images to come out proportionally on a rounded surface.  There are several tutorials available online to help in this area.  Needless to say I went thru a couple dozen eggs before I got some graphics that looked good.  Unfortunately I did not take any picture of what I made.  My favorite was putting nutritional information on an egg.  Below is an example of what it looked like. Photo Light Box

Light Box

I recently purchased a Photo Light Box for taking studio quality pictures of things.  Why? I don’t know it was a good idea at the time.  I got a One Shot Photo Studio by Merax.  I have seen numerous tutorials and pictures from which to make one from.  However, I just never got around to making one.  I opened it up this weekend for the first time and was mildly surprised.  The Light Box itself folds up into a neat little carrying case about the size of a Portfolio case.  Continue reading
